#PrayForTheWorld

My heart breaks, upon seeing these pictures and watching those reports on Gaza being under attack, killing so many innocent people and children.

Dear people in Gaza, in Syria, and oppressed people in every parts of the world; we may not be able to do much, but our thoughts and prayers goes with you. May Allah protect you. Those evil bastards may cheering over your deaths, but be happy that your final resting are guaranteed in Jannah

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

We may not be able to fight with them over there, but bear in mind that DU'A is the best weapon of all. Keep on praying, people. May Allah ease their hardships and pains.

Even so, there's some other ways to get involved in the move:

1) Sadaqah: Even the slightest amount of 10 cent do wonders. Tak luak rezeki kau pun kalau sedekah pada yang memerlukan.

2) Boycott: Even though I'd never feel that boycotting is effective enough especially when it's rather done seasonally by our 'so prihatin people, my advice is, sebolehnya, boikot. Tujuan boikot ni bukannya untuk lumpuhkan ekonomi or what not, it's more to hinting the companies to stop funding those Israeli military.

I attended a talk by Aqsa Syarif last year and the representative said, "walaupun tak mampu nak boikot semua produk, sekurangnya boikot these 4 companies: Mc' Donalds, Coca Cola, Nestle and Lo'real as these companies are actively funding the Israeli military."

(Not so sure why Starbucks isn't on list, but I gotta double check on this. Besides, the talk was around 2 years ago so some facts might be changed.)

I admit, it is pretty hard to istiqamah when it comes to boycotting these companies, especially when we had gotten attached to their products for so many years! Being an avid Starbucks addict and growing up with Mc' Donalds foods made me thought that I could never do it, but then, I actually did it. It has been more than 2 years that I've avoided Mc' Donalds, went through months without Starbucks (must admit that it's pretty irresistible because of those free drinks and stuffs, phewwh!), and stopped consuming Coca Cola and Lo'real products as well.

The key is 'to avoid' them. There's just so many alternatives out there anyway. Insya Allah, those baby steps would help a lot :)

3) Du'a: The only act that needs no introduction. Du'a is the best weapon of ours, the Muslims!

The world might be a gruesome place for some, but behold that it is a reminder from God to always be grateful for whatever we have. Today, we might be complaining how bland your food tasted, but be grateful that there's always people in the other side of the world is starving themselves for days and even weeks.

"Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?" (Ar-Rahman, QS 55:13)

Let's keep on praying for good and
do something!
